#5, Learn Photoshop
While I was taking Photo Boot Camp at the Creative Photo Academy, I purchased a copy of Photoshop. I hoped to learn to edit my photos and create interesting photo projects.
I opened the application one day and realized I had absolutely no idea how to use it. So I closed the application and opened up Netflix. Photoshop was easily replaced with House of Cards. My photos remained unchanged, but I now know how to unseat a sitting president.
Now, I’ve opened the application again and I still have no idea how to use it. I’ve downloaded a class on Lynda.com and I’ve just listened to an hour or so of a fast talking teacher. I’m not even completely sure he’s speaking English. He is talking about Bridges and Camera Raws and giving me shortcuts to journeys I didn’t even know I was taking.
I’m not giving up on the class yet. It’s 13 hours long, so at the end of it I should understand something. The key is not to give up. I’ll work through this and if it doesn’t work, I’ll try something else.
354 days to go!
