Did you change your clocks? I woke up at 7 and felt like it was the middle of the day. Before I knew it, it was noon.
Here’s a quick rundown of the things that I’ve done this week that haven’t made it onto the blog yet.
#211, Listen to a Weekly Podcast, 11/52
I also listened to a podcast of Elizabeth Gilbert interviewing Ann Patchett on the series, Magic Lessons.
#127, Perform a Weekly Random Act of Kindness, 11/52
A friend was having a hard day so I sent him videos of baby elephants… because who doesn’t love baby elephants?
#14, Watch one Annenberg Iris Series Lecture each week, 11/52
This week I watched the lecture Ted Hyman, The Future of Architecture: Restorative, Sustainable, NetZero. It’s a fascinating look into how a sustainable building is planned, built, and how it requires cooperation from the building’s inhabitants in order to work at optimal levels.
#364, Do a Weekly Photo Shoot, 11/52
I took pictures at the Eames house this week, both with my iPhone and with my DSLR.
#21, Try a new restaurant each week, 11/52
This week I went to Maison Giraud, Alain Giraud’s restaurant in Pacific Palisades. They have the best croissants in Los Angeles and you can slip into the shop next door: Lavender Blue, and buy French linens until your pockets are empty. It is owned by his wife, Catherine Giraud.
I had a delicious crab salad with a glass of rosé.
Also, congratulations to Amanda Macias of Escondido, California, for winning the Taco book giveaway. Let’s wish her good luck on accomplishing her three List items:
- Explore hiking trails.
- Juice regularly.
- Read and finish at least one whole book.
The next contest will be in April.
Have a great week everybody!
